Texas is the leader when it comes to BBQ Cook-Offs, and we are excited to help keep it that way by hosting this inaugural event. Sanctioned by the Lone Star Barbecue Society, this competition is set to bring San Angelo, TX some added attention this summer.
Thousands of BBQ enthusiasts test their skills at cookoffs every year, with anywhere from 30 to 300 teams traveling from all over the U.S. to participate in a single cook-off. We are proud to help bring some of that enthusiasm to West Texas and expect to see a boost in our economy and tourism here in San Angelo.
All standard cook-off rules apply to our event. Head cooks must be 18 years of age or older. All meats must be prepared and cooked on site during the set event times. Payouts are set at 80 percent.
